Presently, Mr. Hoyle is combining a marbleizing technique with his oil paintings. He first floats a thin layer of dilute oil color on water, then stirs the surface and lowers a canvas to pick up the pattern. After several days drying a number of canvases, he chooses a pattern that inspires him and finishes the painting with brushes. This series of work he calls Ogle Earth for the aerial views he creates and Ogle Landscape for the traditional landscape views.
